About me

I am a retired lecturer. Before coming to Suffolk, I taught in sixth form and further education colleges in London for nineteen years. Prior to this, I worked as a researcher at East London and South Bank Universities.

I worked with younger children as the Assistant Director for an after-school provision in Chicago. I have set up a community project, “ACYCLE,” for children of African, African Caribbean, and dual heritage (mixed-race) in Ipswich. This project focuses on identity and building confidence through creative and cultural activities.

I have a Master's in Teaching and Learning from the University of Manchester, a BA (Hons) in Literature, and a Certificate in Education. I also have a Postgraduate Certificate in Theology and Religion from Cambridge University.

I am a committed Christian who believes everyone has the potential to achieve great things. However, it requires a changed mindset that can reimagine opportunities and choices. It is not about the cards one is dealt in life but believing adversities are lessons that shape you for more extraordinary things.
